Description
The WP-26 short (button) back cap is a TIG welding torch consumable for WP-17, WP-18 and WP-26 series air- and water-cooled torches, cross-referenced to part number 57Y04. It threads onto the torch body to apply pressure on the back of the collet — retaining the collet and tungsten electrode while sealing the torch head from atmosphere — and its short profile is sized for tight, confined welding spaces. These short caps are typically made from a high-temperature phenolic body reinforced with brass threading and fitted with a sealing O-ring, for use on torches commonly rated up to 200A DC / 150A AC at 60% duty cycle (EN 60974-7) for 0.5-4.0mm tungsten electrodes.
