Description
A Dowty seal (or bonded seal) is a specialized leak-proof washer made of a metal outer ring bonded to an inner elastomer ring, used for high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic bolt connections. Standard metric or BSP Dowty/bonded seal sizes typically scale up to roughly 60 mm, while numbers like 60, 62, 65, and 85 more commonly correspond to larger shaft or bore dimensions found in standard oil seals (such as TC or radial shaft seals) rather than standard bonded washers
