Description
The 2-1/2" Dowty seal is a bonded (captive) seal washer sized to BSP (British Standard Pipe) parallel threads, made from a metal washer permanently bonded to a synthetic rubber sealing ring. It seals at the port face of BSPP or metric-parallel fittings and is commonly used in high-pressure industrial, pneumatic, and hydraulic connections. Seals of this type typically use an NBR (nitrile) rubber insert as standard, suited to roughly -30°C to 100°C, with FKM (Viton) versions available for higher-temperature duty.
