Description
These Dowty-type bonded seals consist of an elastomer ring — commonly NBR, though FKM or EPDM versions also exist — bonded to the inner face of a metal washer, typically carbon steel, zinc-plated, or stainless steel. They're used to seal BSP or metric threaded fittings and plugs, with sizes read as ID x OD in millimetres (10x20, 12x25, 12x28, 15x32). This seal type is generically governed by standards such as ISO 3601, DIN 7603, and BS 5535, and a standard NBR construction is typically rated for a service temperature of around -40°C to +120°C.
